Our approach to
educational partnerships.

Systems approach to
transformation

School transformation is a complex endeavour. The road to transformational and sustainable improvement requires us to address all the key elements of the school system such as curriculum, teacher training, leadership, parent engagement, school climate, and data-driven decision making systems for continuous improvement, simultaneously.

Empowering schools to become
learning organizations
The most important thing to ensure that schools continue to improve over their lifetime is to make them learning organizations i.e. to build their capacity to collect data on performance and use that data to continuously improve their practices. Our goal is to help the schools develop a culture and systems that make it a learning organization.
Using clear performance standards for tangible progress

Everything is transparent and measurable. We establish clear short term, medium term, and long term outcome measures, and evaluate progress on an ongoing basis. Our goal is to help your school reach the ‘AF Gold Standard’ – a set of research-based indicators of effective schooling that measures the quality of inputs, processes, and outcomes.

Building institutional
capacity

Our focus is not on building individual capacity alone, but more importantly, on building institutional capacity so that the schools will continue to thrive and develop in spite of unavoidable leadership or team member turnover. Our unique leadership model and organizational structures distribute autonomy across the organization, ensuring stability of the culture, values, and decision-making processes that steer the schools.

Making your school the best place to work
Teachers and leaders will stay with us long term if they feel a sense of belonging, success, and autonomy. And we want them to stay because the most productive team members are the ones that have availed of our professional development the longest and truly imbibed our unique culture. To this end, our goal is to make each school amongst the best places to work in that town/city/state
The network effect

It is easy for a school to slip into complacency, and to slowly get disconnected from currently emerging and evolving research and practices in the field of education. Leaders and teachers need to be connected to a network of experts, so they can generate learning about effective practice that is unique to their schooling contexts. This is why, being part of a network of schools that connect leaders and teachers, and can provide the resources to invest in ongoing research and teacher/leader education is so critical.

Organic growth

While we might be in a hurry to bring about changes at our schools, we must remember that schools take time to change. Our guiding principle here should be organic growth. We must take our time to build strong foundations at each school that will support the gradual development of a highly complex superstructure.

Together, let’s build a better school. And a better tomorrow.
